The Argentine-Turkish Chamber of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement with the Federation of Commerce and Industry of the City of Buenos Aires.

The last May 5,  Argentine-Turkish Chamber of Commerce (CCAT) (NGO) and the Federation of Commerce and Industry of the City of Buenos Aires (FECOBA) held an important institutional meeting to strengthen the ties of cooperation between both entities through the signing of a collaboration agreement. This agreement aims to promote the development of bilateral trade and generate concrete opportunities for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and companies from both countries.

The CCAT delegation was led by its President, Mr. Özgür Demir, accompanied by the Secretary General, Dr. Carlos Brown, and the Treasurer, Lic. Silvia Salvi. FECOBA’s President, Fabián Xavier Castillo; Secretary General, Sergio H. Lamas; First Vice President, Mariano Tarruella; Secretary of Foreign Trade, Martín Picón; and Secretary of International Relations, Patricia Pitaluga, participated on behalf of the meeting.

During the meeting, the importance of building bridges that foster productive and commercial development was highlighted, both in the City of Buenos Aires and internationally. Both institutions agreed on the need to coordinate joint actions to support the productive sectors in an increasingly challenging global context.

Within this framework, the incorporation of the Turkish metallurgical company A-B MAKINA as the first Turkish company to join FECOBA was also celebrated. This marks a milestone in business integration between the two countries and represents a concrete step toward stronger bilateral trade ties.

The signed agreement includes, among other initiatives, the organization of business roundtables, trade missions, and training sessions aimed at enhancing opportunities between Argentine and Turkish business communities.

This agreement marks a new step toward stronger trade integration and reaffirms the Chamber’s commitment to bilateral trade development.
