A business delegation recently arrived from Turkiye, based in the city of Ankara, visited Las Flores and held an important institutional meeting with the municipal mayor, Fabián Blanstein, as part of an agenda focused on productive development and the strengthening of international trade ties.

The mayor welcomed Ozgur Yucel Demir, President of the Argentine–Turkish Chamber, at the Municipal Palace. He was accompanied by Carlos Brown, secretary of both chambers and former Minister of Production of the Province of Buenos Aires. Business leaders Serhat Ozer, CEO of Merkez Butchery and Meat Processing Company, and Ilhami Baskan, CEO of Baskantar, a meatpacking and livestock holding company, also took part in the meeting.

The discussion, held in a particularly friendly atmosphere, was supported by Turkish-origin sworn translators Safak Gumus and Furkan Eyiceoglu, audiovisual director of CCARGTUR, enabling a smooth and enriching exchange between the parties.

The working agenda included a tour of the Small Animal Slaughter Plant, scheduled to open in 2026, and a visit to the model agricultural establishment “La Cubana,” where the business representatives observed the excellent cattle herd, toured the fields, and took part in discussions and exchanges with local producers.

The delegation then visited the “Faenadores Florenses” meatpacking plant, where—especially in the refrigeration chamber sector—the Turkish entrepreneurs expressed their admiration for the quality of Argentine beef processed in Las Flores.

The activity concluded with a meeting at the multipurpose hall of the Planned Industrial Park, where dialogue between the municipal government and the foreign businesspeople and traders was further deepened. This valuable engagement aims to lead to commercial and productive agreements, with the goal of promoting projects related to value-added production and job creation in the city.

Finally, it was announced that a new delegation of Turkish businesspeople from various commercial sectors will arrive in Argentina on February 27 and, through the Argentine–Turkish Chamber, plans to visit the city of Las Flores once again.
